The design
This home was imagined at the intersection of design, nature, and art. Inspired by a wine country estate and a Manhattan penthouse, every square inch was considered, refined, and brought to life. Mid-century modern in spirit, mindful in execution, and quietly playful, the result is a place where architecture frames experience- and the ocean is always part of the conversation.
Glass defines and dissolves the home at the same time- extending views, reflecting light, and making walls disappear. Walking the main hallway, the ocean, beach, and cliffs assemble themselves into a narrow, cinematic preview of what lies ahead.
Music lives here as sculpture. A Bang & Olufsen sound system — formed from three-dimensional hexagons — fills the space with quiet chill or deep hip-hop, equally at ease. Reflected in a full-length bronze mirror, beside a wood-burning fireplace, it creates a seat that may quietly become the best one in the house.
Competing with painted skies and an ever-changing ocean, the home features 176 individual lights across 21 spaces. Fully programmable and intentionally subtle, light here behaves like a spotlight on a diamond, revealing beauty without demanding attention.
Technology is present everywhere and visible almost nowhere. More than a dozen integrated systems provide comfort, control, and ease — carefully muted so the rhythm of nature remains uninterrupted.
Material Choices Tell a Story

Reclaimed redwood fencing from the original property now lives throughout the home as custom cabinetry — bringing the texture of the outdoors inside, inviting the past to become part of the future.

The kitchen’s ivory-white granite, flecked with gold, brown, and black, was sourced from Rubelita, Brazil- a region known for precious stones. Its tones echo beach sand, sea foam, tide pools, and dried kelp. It feels inevitable, as though it always belonged here.

Hand-made Fireclay tiles in “Salton Sea” and “Overcast” introduce subtle shifts of grey-green and pale blue. Each tile is unique, crackled, and alive- changing character with every angle and every hour of the day.
